EPA Regulations on wood furnaces...FYI
EPA has not set up testing guidelines for whole house wood furnaces as of this date, but we can assure you that by our design of allowing the primary air to enter below our cast iron grate, then adding air over the fire with our patented* secondary air system (multi-fuels and Klondike furnaces), then enter our 54 to 82 square foot of heat exchanger surface before leaving the furnace insures a very clean burn and minimal smoke or creosote leaving your chimney. *U.S. Patent #4,343,288

Our Jack add-on furnaces are built a bit differently, but we are still bringing the primary combustion air in under our grate with a forced draft and, by design, the firing door allows the air in over the fire for the secondary burn of the smoke and gases on top of the flame gaining 30 to 40 percent more btu's off the solid fuel.
